We have the answer! Just say “procoof!”

And procoof delivers, just look at these quotes:

“I used to hate my job, but now my boss thinks we’re a forward thinking company running headfirst into the future like some kind of Marty McFly of the packing supplies industry” — B Tannen, CA

“The procoof package manager makes it easy to deploy procoof on other computers. Just install the package manager, satisfy the 11gb of dependencies and type ‘procoof!’ — the installation CD will be shipped to the closest UPS store to your IP addresses geolocation!” — Grateful, AL

“I used to think UNIX was a big pile of junk, with its single command to do a job failings and ignorance of modern life, but procoof has shown me that not all UNIX developers are able to write small, functional software, in fact, some of them write things like this.” — Anonymous, NE

“procoof proves professionally: Providing previously preposterous people properly procured program packages!” — Deceased, NH

“Using the built in proof of concept point of sale system (procoofpocpos) I’ve turned my badly prepared business plan into a state of the art Internet retailer! Take that Amazon.com!” — Bamazon.com owner and operator, DE

What are YOU waiting for?

Think you’re the best? procoof yourself!

### GNU social

In 2010, we saw a huge amount of attention on the world of
decentralized social networking. This benefited our GNU social
project greatly, and for a moment, the world’s attention was on
our doorstep as our mailing list became overrun with
announcements from various projects as we scrambled to keep GNU
social on target. I’m pleased to say, this has all worked out
rather well. Diaspora have done a good job raising money and
awareness, while veteran project Appleseed has come back from the
dead and continues to make great progress, while other social
networking projects seem to be springing up all over the
place. In 2011, I hope to see the efforts of our first all-hands
meeting in Portland, Oregon in July come to frution and a wide
ecosystem (buzzword!) of decentralized social networks come about.

GNU FM

GNU FM is getting better all the time, thanks in no small part to
maverick developer, Mike Sheldon. Mike, who is also the host of
the Libre.fm podcast, has been rapidly implementing
features. So, if you have any ideas or suggestions on how to make
GNU FM better, and you want to see those features on Libre.fm any
time soon, head over to the GNU FM bug tracker and start telling
us!
